Little victories:
- I slept! For seven hours! Huzzah, we did not fall into the pit of endless insomniac despair for once.
- I finished off writing the reallyreallyreallyreally rough draft of a whole scene in my book. That makes a total of three that badly need an edit. One of those three is actually only 85% done because I gave up on it last year and moved on. But that was last year.
- I counted and I’ve written twenty pages so far this year! Considering that last year I only wrote fifty in total for the whole year, this isn’t half bad. Bits and pieces does work.
- I don’t know if it was the good sleep or what, but at work today I finally felt like I was actually getting the hang of my new role. I’m starting to develop that eye-of-Sauron feeling, where I can gaze upon the whole of my new realm at work and see data that makes sense instead of just… numbers and colours and confusion. Soon it will be like reading a book.
- The chickens did indeed say hello this morning. They’re such weird little dinosaurs and I love them.
